Anna Sabine speaks out over bank closure

Frome residents have been shocked and angered by the news that the town’s only remaining bank will close later this year. 

TSB on Cheap Street will close in September, meaning that Frome customers will need to travel to Midsomer Norton, at the opposite end of the new Frome and East Somerset constituency, in order to do any in-person banking.

Anna Sabine, Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Candidate for Frome and East Somerset, said: 

“This is an incredibly short-sighted decision by TSB and potentially worrying news for businesses in Frome, many of whom still rely on local banks. I know from my conversations with local residents how worried they are about the future of our high streets. It is clear that the Conservatives have no plan to support our high streets to thrive.”
